Soon after his promotion to his current position as Director of IT Auditing for the Siemens Corporation, Gerard "Rod" Brennan decided that in order to come up with some new ideas for the job, he'd go back to school. "I travel a great deal and I have a family," he says, "so I knew a distance learning approach was the only way I could accomplish it. Kennedy-Western University was the only online university with a solid track record that offered the doctorate in MIS."

"I really wanted to learn," says Dr. Brennan. "The more I studied and conducted my research for my dissertation, the more exciting it became. There were some very interesting things going on in computer science and auditing at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and my thesis proposal fit right into what some of those experts were doing. I learned far more than I ever imagined!"
